Ottawa-based Airliner was formed in early 2011 by Singer-songwriter and keyboardist Berry Blue. Using the blues as a starting point, and drawing on diverse roots-based influences such as southern rock, R&B, and country, Airliner has spent years developing their own brand of Canadian roots rock with a touch of Americana thrown in. Airliner released their debut self-titled EP in the fall of 2012, and the summer of 2014 saw the release of the band's first full-length album, Fired Up, as well as a performance at the Ottawa Bluesfest. The band gained some local attention, with their LP Fired Up making the 29th spot on CKCU FM 93.1’s top 50 albums of 2014. Soulful singing, searing leads, and funky rhythms: Airliner will have folks dancing and grooving in no time.
