This new music promises to entertain you with lyrics written straight for the inner sanctum of her heart and soul. Clyde Stubblefield (James Browns Drummer ) Dubbed her "THE PRINCESS OF SOUL" !
PEGGY LEE , ERYKAH BADU, JANIS JOPLIN, BOB DYLAN, AMY WINEHOUSE, ETTA JAMES , DOJA CAT, JESSIE REYEZ, TINA TURNER, ARETHA FRANKLIN.... are all inspirations for Bella Cat . Mixing a variety of new school and old school music with deep lyrical content is her new passion ! Bella says she wants to write lyrics and music that make people feel less alone, she says singing is one of the best ways to rid negative energy from the body and she wants to help people grow ! Bella has had a lot of death in her family and friends circle including the disapearance of her cousin, she says this allows her to connect with people through her music on a whole other level. This track in particular is about being best friends with someone who you care more about then they care about you.
From the help of a new friend in Ottawa Caylann Penny , Bella and Caylann produced the track together and recorded it at Gallery Studios with Dean Watson . Pop- Soul Music made to touch your heart .
I wrote this new single after I met someone who made me feel like a kid again when I was in the deepest darkest moments of my life. I will continue to keep writing songs straight from the inner sanctum of my heart and soul. My music can be blues, RNB , pop-soul, rock or rap but in the end it all comes from the same place inside me.

ARTICLE DONE BY THE REVUE Bella Cat arguably has the most enthralling, soulful voice in the area. Belting lyrics reminiscent of the great soul-blues singers of the past, the young woman from Old Chelsea, Quebec – which is about 15-minutes north of Ottawa – released a terrific debut EP this year entitled, Corrupted, which was reviewed earlier this year.
While the blues, soul, and jazz arrangements are extremely well done and the melodies catchy like the sounds of the ’50s and ’60s, it is Bella Cat’s booming, powerful voice that completely overwhelms you. She’s played a few shows in the area, and now she’ll be winning over new fans when she plays at the RBC Bluesfest on Thursday, July 10 at 6:00. Her set takes place in the intimate Barney Danson Theatre, which may not be big enough to hold in the powerful voice of Bella Cat.
